      Good day!

First of all: great site. I am a golden owl hunter for 2 years now and your site is very helpfull. But I need help at this point so I decided to create an account.

I found the solution for the 11 enigma’s. And because of that I found a zone at the end of the 11th enigma. I also found the supersolution. The supersolution gives a conformation about the zone, a marker in the zone and what to do from this marker and how to do it. I found an absolute exact location to the centimeter accurate.

Last month I went to that location and the Supersolution was confirmed by the location. What to Supersolution told me that I would find on that spot, I found. Everything fits perfectly accept…… there was no Owl burried at that place. I digged for more that 1m deep. Nothing there. Everything was perfect, the location, the information I got form the supersolution, the soil composition, the vegetation. Just everything.

So I’m starting to questioning if an owl is actually buried. Or is this really just an armchair quest and you need to ‘give’ someone the solution to claim the prize? I am in reasonable doubt. Can someone give me an advice?

      Thanks in advance anyway.

Why don’t you share the solutions to the 11 enigma’s?

If you didn’t find the owl it is much more likely that your solution is incorrect than that there is an extra level to the hunt in some way. Maybe some elements are right, but there’s a mistake somewhere?

Jo, your comment make sense. What bothers me the most is the fact that everything seems right. All elements of the supersolution are found the same way. I got the confirmation that it is (almost) impossible to have missed a remnant, because it is what Max said: just a trick. In my SS I get confirmation about my zone and on the site I got a confirmation about my supersolution. So it is confirmed from both perspectives, and that is what bothers me most. But I will re-check some points and dubble check if I didn’t mess up somewhere/somehow.

I’m interested to know if your supersolution gives you a landmark plus distance and direction leading to the spot to dig? That’s the assumption that is much discussed, but in my opinion even this level of detail has issues. For instance if the instruction is dig 5m from the war memorial, the landmark could be a fair size monument, so is it the middle or an edge? And  it might not be clear if it’s 5m from the step at the bottom of the monument or the main statue/pillar structure. If we start to look at things this way, accepting a need for a clear named feature, it rules out huge areas of France public land. There surely has to be some very small, clearly named, feature to form part of the supersolution instruction. There are very few of these features in forests for instance, and anything suitable such as a standing stone or statue is likely to be busy with tourists.

Hunter – I too have solved all of the clues, got the confirmation for the zone, completed the super solution and have a final dig location “to the centimeter” but will not be able to travel for 2-3 weeks.  Maybe we can compare notes after I return.  Steve

Hello Hunter. Like you and others I have also followed the trail to the end. It leads to a fairly accurate location, I figure if you dig a 2 foot diameter hole you will almost certainly hit part of the cache. Like you I have doubts as to whether it is still there. Considering the history of the hunt, I can see good reasons why it may not be. Having said that I may be able to help you in deciding if you are actually in the correct spot. If you can tell me the exact date you dug, and if there were any recent indications of a previous dig at or near that spot. Cheers.

I went there on the 21th of August. There where no sign that someone been (put a shovel in the ground) there in the last year. When did you go to your location?

Hunter: I was there On the 1st and 2nd of Sept. there was no sign of digging anywhere near where I was. We measured, photographed and scouted out the site. I am now certain I have identified the spot to dig. I will be returning shortly to try my hand on the shovel.  We did dig  a hole to check the surface and soil type, very near the final destination. You would have seen if you had dug near the same place. So now I guess it’s a race to see who gets there first. It’s either getting dug or being exposed this fall. Good luck all.

Sorry Hunter, I stated that backwards. What I meant to say is we would have seen your dig, as we were there after you.  so we are definitely in different locations. Apparently I need to get some sleep. Cheers.

okay, so we definitely both have a different place. Interesting.
